How does the 10% service fee work for direct bookings?

For direct bookings made via our website, a 10% service fee is charged to the guest.

• This service fee is paid exclusively by the guest
• The owner always receives the agreed rental price
• The service fee is added on top of the rental price
• For owners within Carefree Advertising, the following applies:
  No deduction is applied to direct bookings.

Advantage
Direct bookings usually result in the highest net return for owners.

Costs on external rental platforms (such as Booking.com and Airbnb)

How this works in practice:

• Each rental platform independently determines its own commissions and any service fees
• These costs are processed by the platform in the selling price and/or payout
• Sun & Sea Holidays has no influence on the amount or calculation of these platform fees
• Many platforms apply dynamic pricing, adjusting prices based on market conditions, occupancy and comparable listings
• As a result, the guest price may vary per platform and per moment
• Owners do not pay these platform costs directly to Sun & Sea Holidays
• The owner’s net return may therefore differ from direct bookings
• In return, external rental platforms provide additional reach and visibility
• Within Carefree Advertising, an advertising fee of 5% applies
• Within Carefree Renting, a fixed management fee of 10% applies
• Any platform commissions are settled directly by the rental platform

For both Carefree Advertising and Carefree Renting, the same fixed subscription fee applies.

• €29.95 per month per accommodation

• This subscription fee is separate from the fees applied per booking.

   

  The fixed subscription fee includes, among other things:

• Professional advertisement setup and presentation
• Publication on the Sun & Sea Holidays website and connected rental platforms
• Ongoing maintenance and updates of the listing
• Availability synchronisation
• Access to the owner portal
• Support with reservations and pricing strategy
• The ability to promote your accommodation yourself via a personal promotion link, without commission
