A magnificent collection of painting from the 15th to the 19th century by Dutch painters such as Rembrandt van Rijn, Frans Hals and Johannes Vermeer.
The Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, which dates from 1885, is a historic building with more than 80 rooms located on the Museumplein. Well-known paintings include the night watch, the milkmaid and the passage.
The permanent exhibitions are also beautiful and the temporary exhibitions are always worthwhile. The multimedia tour is perfect to learn more in a fun way.
