THE FLOWER FIELDS
Coulors as far as the eye can see
After the flowering of the crocuses, an overwhelming bloom of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths start blooming at the end of March and continues into May.
Gladiolus, dahlias, carnations and asters provide a second attraction .
The flowers are topped after flowering and used for lighting up the floats for the flower parade.
Then the bulbs are peeled, dried and stored in the bulb sheds and planted again in the autumn.
The Flower parade rides on the first Saturday after April 19 with the floats and on the second Saturday of August the Flower Parade rides through Rijnsburg.
