THE OOSTERDUINSE LAKE

The pearl of the Bollenstreek

If you don't feel like going to the beach for a while, it is more of a great place to cool down.

The Oosterduinse lake, popularly also called Lake Como, is about 1 km long and was created in the 1950s by a sand excavation. It has now become a wonderful place where you can take a nice walk, relax on the large sunbathing lawn, swim in the lake or simply enjoy the wonderful view.

You can admire the beautiful nature around the lake. Spot the many birds that flutter around here such as the redshank, blue heron or the reed warbler. In the spring you look out on the most beautiful flowering bulb fields.
