KEUKENHOF CASTLE
The castle garden and the forest are wonderful for walking. There are 3 walking routes: the Boots Path, the Art Route and the Gnome Walk where the children go on a quest for the 16 gnome poles.
Keukenhof Castle, built in 1642, is located on the historic 240-hectare Keukenhof estate.
The castle is beautifully decorated, some of which are covered with gold leather. There is a unique collection of furniture and portraits and the Chinese and Japanese porcelain is uniquely displayed in a 17th-century way in the purpose-built cabinet.
There are regular art exhibitions in the gardens and on the Dahlia days in August you can admire many types of Dahlias in the beautiful castle gardens. The estate has a cute petting zoo and the Keukenhof spring park is located opposite Keukenhof Castle.
Keukenhof Castle opens its doors several times a year and is open on Heritage Day and Castle Day.
